Welcome to the web-home of Talinor, the Kitsap County, Washington foam-fighting realm. So... just what the heck do we do, anyway? We dress up in medieval style outfits, pick up safely padded medieval style weapons and hold a wide variety of battles where we participate in full contact physical combat. Each fight is based on skill, with teamwork and ability determining the outcome, not lengthy rulesets and "character sheets." However, we encourage roleplaying and for you to act out the part of your character, just that it has no effect on the outcome of combat. We are part of a larger national organization and participate in multiple realm events for those large epic battles and fun nightlife. Anyone can walk in and start fighting immediately. No special safety equipment is needed, no prior training necessary. New players will be given a run down of the Combat Rules, loaned starter weapons and will be shown how the sport functions. The combat rules may seem complicated in reading, but once tried, they are really pretty simple. The emphasis with this sport is safely padding the weapons, so that heavy, cumbersome (expensive!) armor is not necessary to play. The weapons are constructed such that a participant can feel a hit weather or not they are wearing armor. Not to say the weapons do not hurt, just that they do not injure when constructed and used properly. Check the calendar to the right for upcoming fight dates and locations. Register an account for access to the forums for easy communication, where you can ask questions and review written tactics.
